Today was a great day of deliveries!!! My new phone case arrived for my new phone in one package, and that was pretty awesome. A few other Christmas presents that I had ordered arrived. But, the third box that I opened made me smile the most. It was our MAGIC BANDS for our upcoming trip!
Early in your vacation planning, you will most likely set up a MyDisneyExperience account. This is something you can do on the Disney website, but there is also an app that is very helpful to use while you are on vacation. I’m always available to help with any questions that you have on this.
When you stay at a Walt Disney World resort, everyone in your travel party will receive a Magic Band. You can customize the color for each person & include a name on the inside of it. For this trip, I chose orange & mine says “Mommy” inside.
The Magic Band will be worn like a wrist band during your stay. It will serve as your room key, your park ticket, your Fast Passes, your Dining Plan credits (if you booked a dining plan), and essentially…your wallet (if you linked a credit card & assigned a pin number). It is so slick, and my kids love watching the Mickey heads turn green when you tap your wrist band to the check points at various locations. If you haven’t used one before, you’ll see what I mean when you arrive at Disney’s Magical Express in the Orlando airport OR at the first park you visit.
The little tab on the left side of the box is a pullout that explains in a little bit greater detail how your Magic Band works.
On the right side of the box, there is tab that says “Magical Extras & Luggage Tags.” Everyone will get a luggage tag. This is just something that is FUN, if you want to use it on your suitcase. (Look inside the black tube that your Magic Bands are wrapped around for the attachments). This is NOT what Magical Express uses to pick up your luggage to deliver to your resort room. That is something separate that we would include in your final packet.
If you booked a vacation package with tickets, there are also some Magical Extras that are included for you. Those include 4 entries to the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex, 4 rounds of mini golf at one of the courses on Disney property (before 4 pm), and a discount card for certain % off at a list of places.
So, there you go! That is what this little box holds, and as it says right there on the lid…”Let your vacation fun begin!” When you receive this in the mail…you are one more day closer to your trip of a lifetime!
